Uses of ERYTHROMYCIN 1 g :

Erythromycin is used as an alternative to penicillin in the patients who are chronically allergic to the latter. It is also taken to treat enteritis caused by campylobacter, pneumonia, legionnaire disease, syphilis, chronic prostatitis, and acne vulgaris and to prevent diphtheria and pertussis.
